Description
Explores the law, policy, history and theory of domestic violence. Studied will be such topics as the dynamics of abusive relationships; the history of the criminal justice system’sresponse to domestic violence; and physical,sexual (including marital rape), psychological (including stalking), and economic deprivation. In addition, the course examines the causes and characteristics of abusers, their pattern of behavior and escalation signs as well as power
and control techniques.
