Description
This course is designed for future secondary teachers and attempts to explore three components of content area reading: study skills, advanced organizing and comprehension skills. Teacher strategies to foster concept and comprehension growth will be examined. Questioning skills, formative and summative test preparation, textbook readability and a guided reading procedure for a culturally diverse population will be included. Early Field Experience is required. Prerequisite: Grade of āCā or better in EDUC 208, EDUC 210, EDUC 250, and EDUC 225.
