Description
This course provides an introduction to fundamental nursing concepts and skills to prepare the student for nursing practice. Emphasis is placed on beginning clinical decision-making necessary to provide safe, compassionate, client-centered care. Principles of communication and information management systems are incorporated in clinical skills practice and simulated client-care settings. Open to nursing majors only. Pre-requisites: Admission to the nursing major
