Description

This course focuses on the principles and practices of layout design across a variety of formats, including single-page compositions, multi-page documents, and packaging design. Students will explore how visual hierarchy, readability, and composition guide the viewer’s experience and enhance communication. Through hands-on projects and critiques, students will learn to organize content effectively, balance visual elements, and apply design systems, and the integration of imagery to create compelling and purposeful layouts for print and digital media formats. Students will be expected to demonstrate advanced proficiency in digital and print based layout-based layout software. Prerequisite: ARTS115
