Description
This course is intended to enable students to gain a better appreciation of their relationship to nature. The complex web of the inter-relationships among the issues of overpopulation, consumption of resources, pollution, urbanization, health, economics, and loss of biodiversity will be explored. This course will help each student recognize how value judgments affect their interactions with nature at the local, regional, national, and global levels, as well as help them recognize some of the resulting short-term and long-term consequences to the planet. Students will conduct self-reflection assessments about environmental topics and discover employable solutions to help mitigate their impact on the environment.
