Description
Researching Fun is a research seminar based on popular culture and history. The theme will vary in each course section and may include topics such as television, film, superheroes, anime, or music, among others. Students will learn the skills and techniques of historical research, a basic grasp of historiography, or how arguments have changed over time, and the skills to articulate, develop, and defend a sources-based argument. This course will teach students how to find information in all its hiding places and how to draw meaning from that information.
